Thank you for the wonderful information about the works held within the library. I've often wondered what specifically was contained in it, great information.

This is wonderful information, thank you. Were the manuscripts badly damaged when terrorists did a rampage in Mali some years ago?

Apparently, most of the manuscripts were relatively safe, but there was a real risk of losing them. The terrorists mostly targeted the saints' tombs/'shrines' rather than the manuscripts themselves. The whole story is very complicated and colored by some political biases.

Yes, it sounded complicated. I hope that they are able to restore the damage done...

Yes, the terrorist scare is in fact the reason why those manuscripts are now digitized

Mr. Isaac Samuel: Thrilled to access you ! Do you have an email address, please. I am 80 years old and It is difficult to see to type you. I have reason now to delve into your brillance. For more than 55 years studied Ancient Vedic prior to 5000 BCE. History is subverted. Would like to build a Learning Center, pay to restore Manuscripts, repair earthen buildings ( we call adobe ) and, build new... But very concerned about UNESCO et al corruption, theft and destruction ....
